Tips on Using "The LinkOn Center"
bulletBEST WAY TO VIEW: The LinkOn Center looks best when viewed on Microsoft™ Internet Explorer, (3.0 or higher) with the resolution set on 800 x 600.  You can change the resolution setting by right clicking on any blank space on your Desk Top, clicking on Properties, then clicking on the Settings Tab and then adjusting the "Screen Area" slide bar. In I.E. we look better set at Medium or Small font size. To change font size in I.E. go to View on the top tool bar & click Text.  In Netscape go to View and click either Increase Font Size or Decrease Font Size.
bulletHOW TO NAVIGATE:  Start by clicking on a Category on the Menu on our HOME Page.  If you're not on the HOME Page click the Main Menu link at the top of any page.  If the Category has more than one Page, you will be shown links to all the Pages in that Category.
bullet We've organized our links in a Hierarchal format.  Sites that have many useful links to other Sites on that Topic are usually mentioned in a paragraph above the LinkOn Table that contains more specific Sites.  The Tables themselves have the Sites Alphabetized running from left to right by rows. (Except the States & Cities Tables, where the Cities in a State are in Columns going down the Table & Except the Presidential Bios, where they're listed in Chronological order.)
bulletEach LinkOn Table (except individual State Tables & Sports Team Tables) has a unique Designation consisting of a Letter or Letter combination and a Number.  This makes it easier to locate Sites if you forget the specific page where a Table is located.  It also makes it easier for you to share information with friends, co-workers etc.  For example if you found some useful Sites on a favorite Topic in Table Z2 (no such Table exists, used as an example only) You can share it with others by simply directing them to "The LinkOn Center", www.linkoncenter.com, and telling them to click on the "Search this Site" button and then putting in Z2 in the search box.  The Search will return the exact page where that Table resides. (You can also use the search function like any search engine and search by words or phrases)  Isn't that easier than giving  someone all the individual URL's of those great Sites that you want to share ?
bulletSHARING & KEEPING TRACK OF YOUR FAVORITE TABLES: You may find that it is easier to remember your favorite LinkOn Tables than it is to Bookmark those Sites and then try to keep your Bookmarks organized.  Send for our FREE LinkOn Log Bookmarks.  They can easily be kept on or near your Computer Keyboard for easy reference.  Although we would like you to enter our Site via our HOME Page, (So you can keep up with what's new at The LinkOn Center)   you can Bookmark any of our Pages.
bulletCONTRIBUTING INPUT TO THE LinkOn Center:  We've placed a generous amount of links throughout this Site that make it easy to have input into the content of "The LinkOn Center".  If you want to share some of your Favorite Sites with the rest of the world, click on any Suggest a Site! link that you find and fill out the form.    (The Site doesn't have to deal with the Topic of the Table you click from)  You can also suggest new  Categories or Tables.  If you want to Exchange Links with us, or if a suggestion doesn't quite meet our criteria, we'll put it on our Links Page.
bullet As hard as we try to keep our links fresh, we sometimes fall behind. If you find a link that isn't working, please use the numerous  Report a Bad Link links that we've provided throughout "The LinkOn Center" to let us know about it.
bulletOther useful information can be found on our Site Manual, including how to make us your Start Page.  You may also want to read our Privacy Policy and Parent's Guide.
