Yahoo, Excite, Lycos & Alta Vista aren't the only Search Engines on the WEB.  You may want to try some of the lesser known ones in the LinkOn Table below.   Many of them use a combination of the above major Search Engines to track down your requests.   They each have something unique to offer (as does this Site) so give them a try. One of the most precise ones is Karnak,  but they charge a fee. You may also want to check out our LinkOn Table of WEB Directories,   (Ed1b)  in our Education Category.   If you're Searching for People, PeopleSearch will simultaneously search all the major People Search Engines.  A useful Search tool that you can download for free is available from GuruNet.  By pointing  to any word( & pressing the Alt Key)  on a Web Page it will do a search of it for you. A Good Search Engine for Students is StudyWeb.
